Privacy Policy

Just Ask Miggy (“I”, “me”) runs justaskmiggy.com from 2406 Jefferson Hwy, Waynesboro, VA 22980. This page explains what I collect, why, and the choices you have. I keep it simple: I only use your information to help you buy or sell restaurant equipment, and I never sell it.
What I collect
- Information you give me on forms, in the Ask Miggy chat or by email or text: name, phone, email, business, what you're buying or selling, photos you upload, and messages.
- Orders: checkout is handled by Stripe. I don't see or store your full card number.
- Site usage: my own privacy-friendly stats count page views and clicks (like “call” or “add to cart”). They use no cookies, don't store your IP address, and use a random visit id that resets daily. I respect Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control.
How I use it
- To answer your request, send quotes, find equipment and arrange pickup or freight.
- To send the emails you signed up for (hot items, new inventory, a short welcome series, VIP offers).
- To send texts, only if you checked the text-message box.
- To keep the site working, prevent abuse and improve it.
Emails
If you sign up, you'll get hot-item and new-inventory emails, about 1-2 a week. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing stops them right away. If you contact me about a specific item or sale, you may get one “here's what happens next” email.
Text messages (SMS)
Texting is optional and separate from email. If you check the box, you agree to receive recurring marketing texts from Just Ask Miggy at the number you provided, which may be sent by automated technology. Consent is not a condition of purchase. Msg & data rates may apply. Msg frequency varies. Reply STOP to opt out at any time, or HELP for help. Text-message opt-in data and consent are never shared with or sold to third parties for their marketing.
Who I share it with
I don't sell or rent your information. I use a few service providers to run the business, who only process it for me: Render (website hosting), Stripe (payments), Resend (email delivery), OpenAI (powers the Ask Miggy chat; please don't share sensitive information in chat) and ntfy (my own lead alerts). I may share information if the law requires it.
How long I keep it
Site stats are kept 90 days and chat transcripts 90 days. Leads and signups are kept until you ask me to delete them or unsubscribe and ask for removal.
Your choices
You can unsubscribe from email anytime, reply STOP to texts, or ask me to see, correct or delete your information by emailing justaskmiggy@gmail.com or texting 434-227-9544.
Kids
This site is for businesses and adults. I don't knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Changes
If I change this policy, I'll update the date at the top of this page.
